Encouragement for the Weary

Psalms 42:5-6

"Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil
within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise
him,
my salvation and my God.
My soul is cast down within me;
therefore I remember you
from the land of Jordan and Hermon
from Mount Mizar."

The Beatitudes

"And he opened his mouth and taught
them, saying:
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is
the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they
shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall
inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst
for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they
shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they
shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted
for righteousness' sake, for theirs in the kingdom
of heaven.
Blessed are you when other revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:2-12

My friends, my prayers are for you! I love you all exceedingly as my sisters and brothers in Christ and want to encourage you!

Welcome To Colorful Colorado!

Last Tuesday, Joel, Abby and I started on our journey to Denver, Colorado! We had a layover in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and we were able to have a lovely lunch of brats and hotdogs. I was going to visit my friend Rachel for her highschool graduation. We all had a blast and will visit again soon! The plane trips, however, were tiring. We were able to visit a new state, though. When we arrived, the air was clean and thin, the people were friendly and the mountains were absolutely gorgeous! I was still amazed everytime I looked outside to see the Rockies! They seemed so close! I will always love them for their beauty and for helping me to know what direction is West, hehe.

Pictures of Rachel's graduation! There were only four graduates this year: Joe Lewin, Christina Deloglos, Jordan Koplin, and Rachel Porter. The graduation of 2008 was on June 7th. It was fun but sad because Rachel is growing up! *tear tear* I am happy for all four graduates and pray that God will give them the faith to keep moving on and that he will make straight their paths and they will not grow weary as they move on!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5

I love you all my friends and family! I love the fun times we have had together!

Daniel you are so cute! And apparently I have third cousins ;) We all match in the picture! I love you Stephanie and Sabrina, even though we just met!

Amanda and I had fun with the camera!

I have pictures of St. Mary's Glacier in the Rockies. When we lived in Colorado, this was our family's special spot and we went here almost every year as a special tradition. When we visited, the Longtines graciously offered to take Abby and I here. When we got there, however, the trail was packed full of snow and we lost the trail....

I
will always miss and love my dear friends in Colorado! Stephanie thanks for being such a goof so I could take funny pictures! Thankfully you didn't really fall off the mountain! :) Thank you Mrs. Longtine for taking us to the mountains and thank you Mr. and Mrs. Porter for caring for me and for sparing your daughter (and your car) so we could have a fun-filled week!
