For Memorial Day, we were invited by the Walters to the Gregory's house for a picnic. We usually don't do anything for Memorial Day, but there is always room for improvement in our schedule. There were lots of friends there and we were blessed with the fellowship of them. There was also lots and lots of delicious food. Everyone brought their own meat, and something to share with the bunch. To add to the excitement, we also had an exciting time kayaking and canoeing on the lake that surrounds the Gregory's house. I was especially encouraged to see God's grace in the lives of our fellow church friends at work when we were playing and conversing with one another. He was truly blessed us, as well as our beautiful country, the United States, and has made me realize how his perfect plan has been used to set us up in a place where we will never starve or want. I have recently just been thinking about all the things that the U.S. men and women have done for our country in the past, during all the wars, and have been especially grateful for being able to live in an easier state than those past days of war and depression. All my prayers go to the families who have lost loved ones and I pray that they will feel the comfort of God's hand in their lives and his grace towards them as well. Grace and Peace!
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dace
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gathers stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace."
